As mentioned in our previous post – the Quicksilver Watermen’s Festival was a tremendous success on all levels. From the opening 5 mile and 1 mile races to the exciting Survivor series- the full day of racing went by in a blink of an eye.
Of all the races over the weekend none was more anticipated then the stacked women’s field that featured names like Candice Appleby, Terrene Black, Annabel Anderson, Shae Foudy and Talia Decoite.
It was Shae’s day, she took out the first survivor heat and it was a battle from then on out between herself, Annabel, Candice and Terrene. In an action packed day we could not be more proud of our team of strong women and give a giant, virtual, “high five” to Shae Foudy on an epic performance in some pretty tough conditions.
As with the men, we got curious about what the women were using at the race… here again is SUP Racer’s breakdown…

Candice – VDrive 101
Terrene – Trifecta 86
Lexi Alston – Matchstick / Vector Net – V Drive 91
Bailey Rosen – VDrive 81
Talia Decoite – VDrive 81
Unlike our men who overwhelmingly choose the Trifecta for this race- the women seem to prefer the V Drive. Terrene was our only Trifecta user. Still, feels nice to know that 5 of the 9 top women chose a Quickblade paddle.
